Refusing to integrate into Heligoland’s tribal community, Henri Fabergé instead offers his services as a wood chopper on the outskirts of the settlement. But the locals pay him mere notice, as sickness is spreading among the populace: a malady of doubt and insolence. As well, a very real plague has made its prescient presence known only to Doctor San Miguel. Amid the distractions of Napoleon’s threats of appropriation and Lex’s dwindling funds, Eldress Kylaa turns her attention to a summoning of cosmic prophecy, while on earth the weakest of her followers must summarily be turned out.
